      •  How to Export Two Linked CCWR Quotes into One File

Introduction

In renewal scenarios where multiple CCWR codes or large volumes of line items are involved, you may need to export a linked (combined) quote file instead of individual detailed codes.

This article explains:

  • When to export a linked quote
  • How to select the correct template
  • What happens during background export
  • How to troubleshoot export behavior

When Should You Export a Linked Quote?

Exporting a linked (combined) quote is useful when:

  • Multiple CCWR codes are linked together
  • Line items are aggregated
  • You want to send a single consolidated quote to the end customer
  • There are large volumes of line items (10,000+ items)

Instead of exporting each code separately, the system allows you to generate one combined renewal quote file.

Key Concepts

  • Linked Quote: Multiple CCWR codes connected together under one renewal context.
  • Aggregated Line Items: Line items grouped by selected parameters during import.
  • Combined Renewal Template: A specific export template that:
    • Recognizes linked codes
    • Automatically aggregates line items
    • Generates a single consolidated quote file

Step-by-Step: Exporting a Linked Quote File

Step 1: Navigate to the Relevant Quote or Renewal Record

Go to the record where:

  • The linked CCWR quotes are available
  • The aggregated data is already processed

Such a quote will have “AGG” added in quote name.

You can export from:

  • Either from PqW Console- Export
  • Quote Details Page

Step 2: Click on Export

  • Clicking on Export Quote opens the window.

This opens the template selection window.

Step 3: Select the Correct Template

This is the most important step.

  • You must select: Combined Renewal Template

When you select this template:

The system recognizes that this is a combined export.

  • It identifies linked quotes automatically.
  • It aggregates line items as required.
  • It prepares a single quote output.

If you do not select the combined template, the system may:

  • Export detailed line items separately
  • Not treat the quotes as linked

You will see a message at top of export window mentioning that combined template will include aggregated and detailed quote information.

Step 4: Confirm Export

  • After selecting the template, you can select the rows and columns to be displayed.
  • Click Export
  • The system will process the file

Step 5: Understand Background Processing

If there are:

  • Thousands of line items
  • Large linked datasets
  • The export will run asynchronously (in the background).

You may see message or delay before download becomes available due to large number of items. Once export is completed, you will see option to download Excel or PDF or both.

  • Click on download link to download the exported file.

What Is Actually Generated?

The output will be:

  • A single consolidated quote file in Excel or PDF containing aggregated quote and detailed quote.
  • Suitable to send directly to the end customer for approval.

Troubleshooting Export Issues

  • Issue 1: Export Not Combining Quotes
    • Ensure the Combined Renewal Template is selected.
  • Issue 2: Download Not Immediate
    • Large datasets are processed in background — wait for completion.
  • Issue 3: Exported File Still Detailed.  Verify:
    • The correct template was selected
    • The quotes are properly linked before export

Best Practice

Before exporting:

  • Confirm linked quotes are correctly mapped
  • Verify aggregation logic during import
  • Double-check the selected renewal template

This prevents rework and incorrect customer-facing quotes.

Summary

Exporting a linked quote file ensures that all connected CCWR quotes and aggregated line items are consolidated into a single customer-ready document. By selecting the correct combined renewal template, the system intelligently processes linked data and generates one unified quote. For larger datasets, the export may run in the background, but the final output will be a clean, consolidated file suitable for customer sharing and approval.
