How to identify and prioritize renewals using PrW Dashboard
Learn how to effectively identify and prioritize renewals using the PrW Dashboard to streamline your workflow and boost customer retention.
Introduction
Partner Renewal Workspace (PrW) is StrataVAR’s renewal management solution that provides a unified platform to handle complex, multi-vendor contract renewals efficiently. It connects siloed systems, offers visual insights, and enables seamless collaboration between Renewal Managers and Engineers.
In this tutorial, we focus on the starting point of the renewal journey—how Renewal Managers use the dashboard to identify, prioritize, and act on contracts due for renewal.
By the end of this video and article, you will understand:
- How to use the dashboard to monitor renewals due in 30/60/90 days.
- How clicking on different dashboard regions navigates you to the Renewal Manager Console.
- How default settings and filters influence what you see.
- How to interpret and interact with dashboard charts to take immediate action.

1. Identifying Renewals via Dashboard Charts
The Renewal Dashboard in PrW offers a comprehensive visual summary to help Renewal Managers track and act on contract renewals. It includes multiple charts and insights, but in the context of the renewal journey, this video focuses specifically on:
Renewal Timeframe Charts (30/60/90 Days):
These pie charts show the number of contracts nearing renewal within the next 30, 60, or 90 days. They’re grouped by account and provide a quick visual cue to identify priority customers.
Clicking a segment within these charts navigates you to the Renewal Manager Console, filtered by the selected account and renewal window.
This makes it easy to act immediately without manual filtering.
2. Default Settings in Renewal Charts
When the dashboard first loads:
You'll see the upcoming renewal charts for 90, 60 and 30 days. Charts show ICs grouped in specific account, by time remaining for renewal. No additional filters are applied beyond this. The chart will have 10 segments such that 9 segments shows the top 9 account with highest number of Internal Contracts(ICs) which are due for renewal. The 10th segment, labeled Others will have all other accounts and ICs grouped in this segment.
This default setup provides a broad overview so that Renewal Managers can start prioritizing work right away. You can then narrow your focus using additional filters described below.
3. Navigation Behavior
The dashboard enables intuitive navigation based on where you click:
Clicking on a chart title (e.g., “Renewals in 30/60/90 Days”) takes you to the Renewal Manager Console, showing all relevant ICs filtered on the basis of the time-frame.
Clicking on a pie chart segment takes you to the Renewal Manager Console filtered by:
- Account
- Timeframe (30/60/90 days)
This behavior helps Renewal Managers quickly transition from insights to action—by directly viewing the ICs needing attention.
4. Using Filters
Each chart has a filter icon. Clicking it allows you to refine the dashboard view based on:
- Custom date ranges (beyond the default 30/60/90 days)
- Top accounts — choose how many accounts to display in the chart
After filters are applied:
The dashboard updates to reflect only the matching records.
Clicking any chart segment now takes you to a pre-filtered view based on your new criteria.
You can also navigate directly to the Renewal Manager Console from the App Launcher, where similar filters are available in the top panel.
5. Other Components in Renewal Dashboard
While not part of the current renewal workflow-focused video, the dashboard also includes additional insights that support broader contract management and data hygiene:
- Renewal Project Status: Pie chart showing how many projects are in Assigned, In Process, or Completed state.
- ICs Without Salesforce Mapping: A bar graph highlighting customer records that can’t be renewed due to missing Salesforce associations.
- Upcoming Last Date of Support (LDoS): Pie chart showing ICs with LDoS falling within the next 180 days—useful for proactive hardware refresh planning.
- Expired Contract Value: Insight card showing total contract value that has expired in the last 30 days but may still be eligible for renewal.
📽️ These additional insights will be covered in an upcoming video: “Exploring the Renewal Dashboard: Beyond Upcoming Renewals”
6. Conclusion
The dashboard is your starting point for all renewal activities. By combining visual insights with filterable, actionable data, it empowers Renewal Managers to:
- Spot renewal candidates quickly
- Access detailed contract information with a single click
- Move directly into assigning and managing renewal projects
In the next tutorial, you’ll learn how to assign these contracts to a Renewal Project and designate a Renewal Engineer for execution.
